When I started training at Pulse, I had a lot of problems with my back and knees, and generally felt weak and unfit. I had always been uncomfortable working out in gyms with all the other people there watching. I was always embarrassed at how low I had to set the weight machines, etc. At the studio I'm only trying to compete with myself, and my trainer was always there with a word of encouragement or praise. 

After just a couple of sessions I found that I enjoyed going to the studio and actually looked forward to it. I could see improvements from week to week and enjoyed the challenge of a new exercise, lifting more weight, or doing more reps.

I now value the feeling of accomplishment I get from a good workout.  I feel stronger and generally better. My only worry is that I've been spoiled now, as I may never find another trainer or studio like I found at Pulse Personal Training. Read more about the Posture Perfect programme.

As a complete novice to the “gym experience” Hamish has taken the time to explain the reason behind each exercise and has set a varied and challenging programme.

The benefits for me have been a considerable gain in my health status, plus being able to fit clothes long forgotten! All this, plus I have actually enjoying the experience. I am certain that if I had not had the benefit of Hamish’s knowledge and motivation I would not have continued with the gym.
